Video Summary
This video demonstrates various techniques for managing bleeding after biopsies of a lingular mass. The Cooke-Arndt Bronchial Blocker is used to block the airway and prevent blood from spilling into the normal lung. Cold saline is used for vasoconstriction and to stop bleeding. The patient is placed in the safety position to promote clot formation. If bleeding continues, a cuff endotracheal tube is used to secure the airway and the patient is placed in a supine position. A bronchial blocker is then placed in the airway to isolate the bleeding side. The blocker can be left in place or removed depending on the presence of active bleeding.
