Video Transcription
This is endobronchial needle aspiration. We will advance the catheter to the area of interest, stabilizing our scope. Advance the needle towards the target. Needle out. Needle out. Continuing to stabilize at the endotracheal tube, we will jab the needle into the target. Suction is now attached and turned on. Hearing John, suction on. Suction on. We will perform 10 to 15 agitations in our target lesion. Please note the needle is moving, not just pushing the tumor or the airway wall. After 10 to 15 agitations, we will turn suction off prior to withdrawal of the needle. Suction off. Suction off. Needle in. Needle in. Prior to withdrawing the needle into the scope, we will verify that it's fully within the catheter and then retrieve our needle from our scope.
Video Summary
The video demonstrates the process of endobronchial needle aspiration. The catheter is advanced to the desired area while stabilizing the scope. The needle is then inserted and suction is turned on. Agitations are performed in the target lesion, making sure the needle moves and doesn't just push the tumor or airway wall. Afterward, suction is turned off before withdrawing the needle. Finally, the needle is retrieved from the scope, ensuring it is fully within the catheter.
