We will perform 10 to 15 agitations in our target lesion. Please note the needle is moving, not just pushing the tumor or the airway wall. Prior to withdrawing the needle into the scope, we will verify that it's fully within the catheter and then retrieve our needle from our scope.
Video Summary
The video demonstrates the procedure of endobronchial needle aspiration. The catheter is advanced to the desired location, and the needle is then directed towards the target. Suction is applied, and the needle is moved in the target area for about 10 to 15 times. It's important to note that the needle is not just pushing the tumor or airway wall. After the agitation, the suction is turned off before withdrawing the needle from the scope. Verification of the needle's placement within the catheter is done before retrieving it.
