Training together as an interprofessional critical care team is essential for providing high-quality care. In this course, leaders in critical care education will teach state-of-the-art techniques relevant to every provider, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. Through hands-on simulations and live models, you’ll learn how to troubleshoot mechanical ventilation challenges, perform bedside critical care ultrasound, and more.

  • Principles of diagnostic and procedural ultrasound, airway management, and ventilator management
  • Common ultrasound-guided procedures, including central venous catheter insertion, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and tube thoracostomy
  • Skills in laryngoscopy, bag-mask ventilation, and extraglottic airway insertion
  • Systematic approaches to airway management
  • Selection of appropriate mechanical ventilator modes and settings for patients in respiratory failure
Pre-work and materials will be available here approximately three weeks before the live course.
