Thank you for trusting CHEST with your educational needs. We look forward to having you join us for this in-person simulation program.

The purpose of this program is to increase cognitive and technical skills knowledge. The course applies experiential learning educational principles and "flipped classroom" teaching methods. Our curriculum is based on the understanding that most clinicians prefer learning styles that involve active experimentation with newly acquired knowledge. Opportunities have been created to allow clinicians to experiment with their new knowledge in a safe environment, to put new ideas and skills to the test through simulation during the hands-on sessions. The flipped classroom model engages participants with course content prior to the in-person learning.

Completing the pre-course work will allow you access to the course materials. These resources must be reviewed in preparation for your course. The concepts and knowledge learned from the pre-reading will be reinforced and assessed throughout the course.

Content will be available online for 1 year. If you would like a permanent copy of the course handouts, you can download and save the content. Recorded materials are only available to view.
  • How to acquire lung, pleural, vascular, abdominal, and basic echocardiography ultrasound images on live models.
  • Methods for integrating your critical care ultrasonography interpretation skills into frontline ICU management.
  • Techniques for interpreting cases of lung, pleural, vascular, abdominal, and basic echocardiography ultrasound.
  • Approaches to identifying appropriate uses of ultrasonography in pulmonary and critical care practice.
