This full-day course is filled with an interactive, lecture-free, educational experience that teaches evidence-based medicine in a way that is fun, easy to remember, and directly applicable to patients. Topics covered have been chosen based on needs assessment surveys of focus groups of Program Directors and fellows, and cover content areas that fellows are often unable to master otherwise, including:
  • Pulmonary Artery Catheter Waveforms and Interpretation
  • Extracorporeal Support for Respiratory Failure
  • Bronchoscopic Control of Bleeding
  • Advanced Airway Rescue
  • Mechanical Ventilation: Clinical Problem-Solving
  • Learners should be able to demonstrate gain of new knowledge that fills previously identified gaps in pulmonary and critical care fellowship training.
  • Learners should be able to demonstrate newly acquired procedural skills in multiple content areas spanning the breath of pulmonary and critical care training.
This activity supported in part by an educational grant from LivaNova and United Therapeutics.
