Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a progressive disease, and in advanced stages, patients experience worsening of symptoms and significantly reduced quality of life. While early diagnosis is critical to limiting progression of disease, patients can wait years for a clinical diagnosis. This activity will introduce pulmonologists to multiple patients and their experiences with delayed diagnosis and treatment.

  • Recognize the challenges associated with obtaining a PH or PAH diagnosis by Examining various cases presented by faculty
  • Analyze CHEST’s First 5 Minutes™ initiative and how it can positively impact the patient’s diagnostic journey and overall treatment plan.
This activity is supported by an educational grant from Merck, Inc., and Actelion Pharmaceuticals US, a Janssen Pharmaceutical Company of Johnson & Johnson.
