This Master Class will highlight exciting and important recent advances in the care of patients with lung cancer. Nearly all aspects of diagnosis, evaluation, and management of lung cancer have rocketed forward in a remarkably short span of time, resulting in a rapidly expanding array of treatment options that lead to better outcomes for all cancer stages. Key changes in best practices based on recent clinical and scientific discoveries will be discussed by experts in the field in a case-based interactive format. Presentations will include case-based discussion on rapidly evolving topics.

Apply updated lung cancer screening recommendations to high-risk individuals, and understand screening limitations in nonsmoking or other populations with perceived risk.
Describe the growing array of minimally invasive bronchoscopic and thoracoscopic interventions, and identify their diagnostic, therapeutic, and palliative roles in accurate lung cancer staging and treatment.
Define options for treatment of early-stage lung cancer, including extent of surgical resection, the role of different radiotherapy approaches, and the appropriate application of adjuvant medical therapies.
Differentiate among varying multimodality approaches to stage III non-small cell lung cancer, and understand their potential benefits and limitations.
