A multidisciplinary panel including a medical oncologist, a thoracic surgeon, and an interventional pulmonologist will discuss the role of lung cancer teams in their thoracic oncology practices. The panelists will review their management of patients with lung cancer during the pandemic, including the impact of delayed procedures and telemedicine on patient outcomes.

Objectives
At the end of this webinar, the learners will be able to:

  1. Enhance communication and interdisciplinary collaboration to overcome the clinical and logistical problems limiting next generation sequencing (NGS) testing in the community setting
  2. Facilitate continuity of care for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who are at higher risk of COVID19 complications
  3. Illustrate the application of telehealth and web-based platforms for evaluation and follow-up of patients with suspected or confirmed NSCLC during the pandemic
  4. Diagnose and stage patients with lung cancer in a timely fashion during the pandemic to avoid upstaging/progression while ensuring staff safety
  5. Describe the existing prioritization models for the clinic visits, imaging, diagnosis, and treatment of patients suffering from lung cancer during the pandemic
Program made possible in part by an independent educational grant from AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, an educational grant from Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, and an independent medical education grant from Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp.
As of November 2023, MOC points will be claimed separately from CME credit and submitted instantaneously. Learners will be required to enter their date of birth and American Board of Internal Medicine ID numbers when claiming MOC points.
