Step back into the smoky alleys and speakeasies of 1920s Chicago, where every whispered secret could be a clue. In this immersive, noir-style escape room, you’ll investigate patient cases to reveal the hidden phenotypes of COPD. Follow the trail of blood eosinophil counts, CBC results, and clinical clues to tailor treatment strategies. Along the way, you’ll identify patients most at risk for exacerbations and hospital visits, uncover the role of cytokines in type 2 inflammation, and expose the spiral of decline that makes reducing exacerbations a critical goal. Every choice pulls you deeper into the mystery—and closer to solving the case of optimal COPD management.

Session Learning: II Self-Directed

Session Objectives:
  1. Educate clinicians on the importance of disease phenotyping in COPD, to identify various expressions of COPD that guide personalized treatment strategy in disease management. Include optimal blood eosinophil count (BEC) testing and assessment via a complete blood count (CBC) with differential.
  2. Utilize case-based learning to identify COPD patient types that are at risk for exacerbations including those associated with ED visits and hospitalizations.
  3. Enhance the understanding of the mechanism of disease and the role of interleukin (IL)-5 and the activation of eosinophils
