Course Description

In this educational game, learners play the part of a detective. Learners will encounter a collection of fictitious patient cases. Within each case, the learner will study case evidence to determine the patient diagnoses of each case. Then learners continue to decide the best treatment option for each diagnosis.

Learning Objectives

  • Acquaint clinicians with the most up-to-date guidelines for treating patients with VTE Identify treatment options that have shown efficacy in the clinical management of submassive and massive syndromes in PE
  • The learner will be able to determine when to use which risk stratification
  • Determine the optimal location to treat patients with VTE (home or in hospital)
  • Review therapies for various anticoagulation
  • Learn about underlying hypercoagulable states change treatment in PE
